Laurie Conway
Associate
Laurie and her husband John have 2 children; Leah, age 19 and Cole, age 14. They are long-time attendees and workers in their church, Woodland Hills, in Maplewood, MN where they also live.
Laurie has always felt the need to speak Good News about Jesus to Native North American people she saw around her as she was growing up and those she encountered in her early adult life. Part of her current motivation stems from a deep sadness for the way the Native North American people have been treated throughout history – even to the present day in many aspects of their lives.
Laurie and her husband John own their own sign business, where John works full-time, while Laurie, with her degree in interior design, owns an Interior Design business that she works at part-time.
Laurie is thrilled to be involved with MPI. As she makes clear, “My lifelong love for Native North Americans has brought me to this place.” Laurie & her husband, John currently head up a Biblical study ministry with the Elders at the Little Earth Urban Reservation community in Minneapolis, MN.
Although Laurie and husband John are in the beginning stages of Native North American ministries with MPI, they are excited to watch God fan the flames of this ministry with MPI. This is something that Laurie says she has dreamed about. She notes, “I am very excited to follow God’s lead here.” |
